Just Fine Designs-Painting Patterns by Sandy LeFlore

So many times at conventions and classes I'm told..."I just loved your design but I painted it on a different surface." And then I say to myself..."Why didn't I think of that?" Well here's your chance painters...if you've painted some of my designs from books or packets but you did it on a surface other than the one it was originally painted on...I want to see it...AND I want to share it with other painters so that they will be encouraged to get creative with my designs. Just email me a photo of your piece (or snail mail it to me) and I'll put it up on this new page. Together we'll show other painters that it's okay to paint outside the box, or the plaque, or the tray, or the tinware....it's okay to adapt a design to fit that piece of wood you've been waiting to paint on for months or years. Don't be shy....we all want to see!

	From Nancy C in Talladega, Alabama I got this wonderful email and pictures of her completed projects... "You've spurred me on to trying something new for me--texture paste. I loved the "Tin Harvest Pocket" pattern when I saw it at Tole Country last year. I just tried the paste and design on a wood plaque I had here. The texture almost makes it look like an old ceiling tile. I also painted the same design without texture paste on a gourd."

	The first entry on the "Your Stuff" page comes from my good friend in Cincy, Jean Howe (You may have seen her name in a book dedication or two). Jean took part of the design "BELIEVE", which was on the back cover of the book "Just a Thing or Two", and made it into an ornament. Clever girl...now why didn't I think of that? Doesn't that make just the sweetest ornament?
